A few weeks ago I visited Lata Kajang, a magnificent high single drop waterfall about an hour and a half outside of KL. The final road to the fall is only accessible by 4WD. At the parking space at the end of the road before the fall, is a large emergent tree. Where a branch has broken off, a hole has formed which has become the nesting site for a pair of Rhinoceros Hornbills (Buceros rhinoceros). These shots show the male which was regurgitating fruits to feed the female. She is sealed in the nest hole by a mud plug, with just a small slit through which to receive food.
